When Less Is Not More

While I'm all for minimalistic zen like interiors with straight lines and zero clutter I can't help but find these living spaces filled with bric a brac ephemera, souvenirs  and just plain old trash very very pretty!

Maybe de-cluttering isn't all that good for the mind, body and soul as its hyped up to be. While most minimally designed rooms with straight lines, clear spaces and Ikea furniture end up looking similar to my  eyes after a point of time, each room in the pictures above has a different character and reflects the personality of the individual occupying it. I'm sure every memorabilia lying in there has an interesting story attached to it. These rooms end up looking lovely even when there is no place for anything and nothing's in its place! Going over the top might not be such a bad thing after all.

Good point :0) I try to be somewhat more right in the middle...so it totally ends up just looking like clutter. Streamlined clutter perhaps?
