I blogged about the legendary fashion editor of yesteryear, Diana Vreeland a couple of days ago ( here ) and today Im sharing a photoshoot of Sarah Jessica Parker posing as DV for Harper Bazaar's March Covergirl Issue '09. The editorial was shot by Peter Lindbergh.

I think SJP does a fabulous job of emulating Vreeland's sense of style. However, if I had to nitpick on something I'd have prefered SJP to have posed without smiling so much in order to have captured DV's ferocious personality. What do you think of this editorial?

The first and second shot I would never have guessed it was SJP, but the third shot I thought it looked like her. but I wasnt sure until you mentioned it. Great post, thanks for sharing.

Which one would be ur fave of these?I think the third one is brilliant...with pics flying around..i agree with you there...a badass expression would have made the pic infinitely more awesome and in sync with the sought theme.
SJP looks amazing in these photos. She has come a long way.

yea i liked the one with the pics flying around too. only wish SJP wasn't so giggly in it.
hehe...i admit to being a wee bit biased as far as SJP goes. but i'm also the first one to point out her OTT fashions too. proof the bizarre scrunchie dress in the right hand column of this blog =)
Oh my goodness, she does look an awful lot like her in a way, I had to do a double take on a few of these shots!

How on earth, can SJP ever be compared to Diana Vreeland ??? I really don't understand what Harpers Bazaar was thinking about when they were doing this shoot. What a disgrace !!!
