Smitten With Silver

Today; I’m reconsidering my preference for Gold over Silver. Pretty pictures of Vintage Silverware offset with fresh flowers are my new crush henceforth.

I’m thinking of decorating our dinner table with my mom-in-law’s antique silverware tonight. I’m a complete sucker for anything with history and a little wear & tear. Such items make for great conversation pieces...don’t you think?

Those are so very pretty. I really, really like the antique spoons. Actually, I've been wanting antique spoons for a while.
I prefer silver over gold, personally...

You know, I have always prefered silver over gold. Love to wear it and for the home. mercury glass is my choice for Christmas decorations because the silver color makes everything glisten.

I love antique silver. But I also love to have antique things in both silver or gold, to suit whichever mood strikes me!

When silver is antique like any of these items, I think I will take silver over gold too! Loving that cute little vase in the first picture!

Oh I love antique silver in particular. A few month ago I found lovely silver plated spoons from the 1920's at a small junk shop in Brooklyn,NY and I love them more then all my other silverware!
Also I have a sterling silver pitcher, which we got for our wedding, I put flowers in it or serve ice water....

Love your picks, so pretty!

Ps: We are off to Europe next week, I will keep a travel journal, so come by and see where we are going!

I love antique silver and I don't mind if it is tarnished.
My husbands parents gave us a silver teapot, jug and bowl on a tray which I love.

Happy weekend

What a gorgeous blog you have. Thank you so much for linking back to me on the photo of my silver. I love tarnished and shiney silver. I can't seem to get enough of it.

There’s nothing as classy as silver!
And when u present it like this...who wants anything else anyways!
