Found In France

Darlings… Take a look at this Etui Box!

{étui ( ) n. , pl. , étuis ( ). A small, usually ornamental case for holding small personal items or accessories}

This little handmade housekeeper is made from creamy linen and quilting cotton fabric. The roof of the house has a George Eliot quote - 'What greater thing is there for two people than to feel that they are joined .....'.

When you lift off the roof, the sides of the box open like a flower and reveal the padded interior where one can tuck things behind. It also has a silver heart for a door knocker. This treasure box comes with a little heart shaped object inside to represent the ‘heart of the home’. Cute, no?

Tialy’s is Lynn Hutton’s lovely Etsy Shop that has a vast selection of handmade, shabby chic items for gifting and self.

A few things I love…

  And since you and I are complete suckers for all things French, do check out La Manche - Found in France, Lynn’s another beautifully curated online shop stocking vintage and one of a kind objects to use in your craft projects or just as they are.

I saw one and first heard about it back in high school from my French teacher. I hadn't thought of that until just now and I think they are so very cool :)
