Love Means Nothing In Tennis

Although they’re a bit dated, I can’t resist these photos shot by Stefania Paparelli ‘coz Tennis and Fashion are two of my favourite things!

Magazine: Glamour (Italy)
Issue: June 2007
Title:
Match Point
Photographer: Stefania Paparelli
Model:
Ronja

I love this vintage inspired shoot- the atmosphere, the lighting and the sheer flowing dresses are all simply gorgeous. I also find the contrast between the sporty accessories and feminine outfits extremely attractive. How I wish the model would have experimented with a wider range of expressions in all the shots though. What do you think of this shoot?

Size Doesn’t Matter

Today I’m  head over heels in love with this pretty passage and the bedroom that it leads to. Aren’t you too?

  (both images via apartment therapy)

Can I sleep here tonight please?

Totally awestruck by the bold mix of colours and patterns in this bedroom! Would you believe it if I told you that this gorgeous room is located in a 593 square feet tiny apartment in Missouri? Only goes to show how small spaces can be converted into functional yet gorgeous living spaces with a little effort and ingenuity

Here are some tips to help you renovate a room when you face space constraint.

  • Invest in some statement making furniture and room accessories. They needn’t be expensive as long as they’re stylish. Some pieces to consider are a headboard for your bed, curtains or wall accessories.

  • When decorating small spaces, mirrors are your best friends! Use them to create an illusion of space and to add a touch of glamour to the room.

  • While white is definitely the safest choice of color to use in a small room, do not be afraid of combining it with bolder colors or prints to turn your room into a visual delight.

  • DO try your hand at some DIY activities to decorate and add a personal touch to the room.

  • When it comes to storage, think out of the box. Consider alternate uses of elements like a bed side table or a window sill as a work station or a dresser.

  • Go beyond traditional lamps and light fixtures. Play with lighting to create an appropriate mood for your room.

…and remember, big ideas come in small packages!

Do you have any particular ideas or tips for decorating small living spaces?

Life In Pink

Looking at Miu Miu through rose tinted glasses. Come join me and live out your fantasy of La Vie en rose ...

Pink has often been criticized for being overtly girly, pansy and week by modern women. But Miu Miu’s palate of Pink is just all kinds of wonderful!

I love the chunky jewelry and the backdrop used in this photo shoot although I can’t think of anyone above the age of twelve who can pull these outfits off. However, Patricia van der Vliet does a fabulous job of tapping into our little-girl-fantasies, don’t you think?
