These pictures from Ditte Isager’s Circus Princess shoot have got me reminiscing about my childhood.
My dad would take me to the circus every year. But I have to say, he seemed to enjoy it far more than I did. I could never fully get into it. I guess all those big animals and clowns can be slightly overwhelming for children. And yet somehow those trips to the circus have made their way into my fondest memories from childhood…

I love that red dresser!! Its nice to remember and recall things from growing up.
These images are so delightful!! I never really went to the circus, just to fairs growing up. But, I always wanted to!
So beautiful inspiration! My favorite circus is definitely the Circus de soleil. I never get tired of their amazing show!

yes i use to VERY much enjoy the circus - now i'm VERY much ANTI-circus .. what they do to the animals is BEYOND cruel - i cant think to give them $$ so they can beat and hurt them .. my heart totally aches for em' all! ..

I went to the circus a couple of times too...but it is a dying art in the current times...can’t say I am complaining coz they kept those animals in terrible conditions...
But still, the circus did provide loads of fun to the young mind!

We didn't have the circus nearby so I've only been once. It sounds like it is a good memory with your dad; how sweet of him to build a tradition with you.
What a fun photo shoot! I went once as a child and loved it all:-) Ooh if you haven't you should read "water for elephants", great book that I just finished kind of about the old school circus, fun!
my family would go to the circus too!! and my dad would fall asleep because that was probably the first time he sat down all day! haha. memories...

just like you i went many times to the circus with my dad but never warmed up to the clowns... sort of a bit scared of them! ha!
I always wanted to be the lady in the sparkly bra and panties riding the elephant! I imagine that girl would be happy to adjust her feather headpiece sitting at that red dresser!
