Grey is usually not my choice of colour when it comes to painting walls or picking furniture for my home. But who can argue with accomplished designer Ilse Crawford’s colour sensibilities, especially after seeing these lovely images of her London loft.
It’s a tough task for greys to break loose from their cold, industrial image. But Ilse has managed to find the warmest shade of grey that not only makes her home look inviting but also provides a great backdrop for her vast collection of books.
How do you feel about using Grey in your living spaces?
This is lovely! I really do love warm greys and I actually do use them in my home decor :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous ,! xoxo
i adore grey. my fiance does too. it's fun to play with warm and cool shades.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And I want that bedspread!
ReplyDeleteI love gray for decorating! Gray is one of those tricky colors that read differently depending on the shade. I'm picking a putty kind of gray right now to paint my living room with!
ReplyDeleteconsidering my livingroom is a deep gray and my bathroom is light gray - i would say i LOVE it
ReplyDeletei've recently started to love pale gray and white. it looks so fresh. enjoy your weekend!

Grey isn't my immediate choice for walls but it tends to be my fallback for furniture. Nothing classes up Ikea furniture than a lovely coat of a pale dove grey!
ReplyDeleteI am itching to try gray but I haven't yet! I would love to pair it with lavender or coral ! Enjoyed my first visit to your lovely blog - hope you can stop by soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that gray is not a great color to be used on walls b/c it's so dull. I like bright/warm/inviting colors.
ReplyDeleteI think gray would be better on clothes and handbags but not walls. :)
Grey reminds me of school trousers
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! no doubt about it: Gorgeous! If one is willing to get out of their confort zone color wise, any color can work. As long as they're matched properly.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
It sure looks nice! And the touches of red goes perfect with it! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Kristin
ive seen some other bloggers with grey walls and i love it! its nice because its very neutral but unusual. if i had the patience to paint and repaint my rented apt, i would do it!

I do like grey. Especially when it's warm like it is in this house. I adore her book collection too.
ReplyDeleteyes! beautiful post. you don't need to sell me on grey. i'm a huge fan... but this made me fall in love all over again. :)
ReplyDeleteOh! I love this apartment, and I actually kind of love grey as well. I have seen several great examples of how it can be used, and I wouldn't mind having grey in my own home.
