Just Married

What is it about newly weds and honeymooners that always makes them stand out in a crowd? Perhaps its the eager & anxious look on their faces, or the little skip in their step or their eternally optimistic hearts

Words may elude me right now but there’s something so charming, genuine and touching about newly married people that they always lighten up every room they enter.

This photo shoot styled by Eva Lindh and photographed by Anna Kern does a fantastic job of capturing that fleeting chemistry between just married couples and that magical spark of love.

What do you think of Stylist Eva Lindh’s work? I find it captivating, dreamy and perfect, down to the last detail. Wouldn’t you agree?

When In Rome...

You don’t got to Rome because you want to slow down or relax. You go there with a heavy desire to wander and get inspired and be overawed with history, even if it means getting lost in this sprawling, confusing city without a centre.

2.8 million inhabitants, poor public transportation, abundant pick pockets and too much to see-too little time type of situations can often leave tourists feeling a wee bit daunted.

For me, suggesting a few must see sights in Rome is like asking a mother to pick her favourite child… absolutely sacrilegious.

The Sistine Chapel is a must visit. The Coloseum, a must visit. The Arc of Titus, a must visit. The Trevi Fountain, a must visit. The Spanish Steps, a must visit. Via Borgognona, a must visit. The Pantheon, a must visit. The other lesser known Roman attractions that I didn’t get a chance to  see, they are a must visit too!

It’s how majestic this city is.

It is how timeless Rome is.

Monday Morning Inspiration & Giveaway

“In life, as in dance, grace glides on blistered feet.”

I’m not a hundred percent sure what this quote means, but it seems profound and true… Just like Carolina Thaler’s images from Marie Claire Dec. 2009, wherein I wasn’t too sure what the exact theme of the editorial was, but found the pictures gorgeous all the same.

So Pretty It Hurts

Has anyone heard of New Zealand based designer Juliette Hogan? I just stumbled  across her website today and after browsing through her Winter 2010 Lookbook, I think I’m actually looking forward to cold wintery days now, just so I can wear one of her lovely creations.

Her collection is titled So Pretty It Hurts and it really is!

I love the way these outfits are feminine without being overly frilly or fussy. They also have a touch of vintage to them, which I find hard to resist.

How could I  have gone so long without knowing about Juliette Hogan’s fashion label?! What do you all think of her designs? Check out the rest of this collection here.

Dancer In The Dream

Hello lovelies! I am finally back from my two week long sabbatical on Miles Of Style. There is so much I need to catch up on and I can’t wait to get started! To begin with let me share with you some gorgeous pictures from Vogue China’s May 2010 editorial featuring model Natalia Vodianova (aptly) titled Dancer in the Dream.

  (images via fanpop)

Even though Peter Lindbergh’s photographed this shoot in a simple way, the colors in it make me feel as though I’m traveling through a rainbow. Natalia’s infinite legs and her killer smile are very attractive as well. She is one of my favorite models. What do you think of her?

On a different note, I can’t thank Rachael, Debby and Shari enough for posting here in my absence. They are such amazing, sweet and talented lassies and I feel so lucky to have them as my friends! If you haven’t checked out their gorgeous blogs, don’t waste a moment and do so now… I promise you’ll love them!

Also, a very warm welcome to all the new readers of Miles Of Style. Thank you for following! I always try to reciprocate and follow back but in case I’ve missed out any of your blogs do let me know.

I have some great posts, offers and giveaways lined up in the coming weeks so please drop by often. For now I can’t wait to go blog-hoppin’! Tata ladies…xo.
