Hello Love
Hello my love,
Tonight, I’ll miss you more than anything.
I can’t wait until we can see one another again—just a few more months until we both return home for winter—two spectacular weeks together, but then yet another year apart. I always dread that last embrace; always tippy-toeing just so our lips have a few more nanoseconds until they’re forced to part.
I miss sneaking out from my impossible, 7-story apartment to see you in the middle of the night. To this day, I still don't know how I did it. I miss being able to talk to you for hours on end without a breath in between. Twelve hours straight is our record isn't it? I miss taking your hand and forcing you to slow dance in the middle of a crowded street. I can practically see your cheeks burn as you shake your head and smile at me.
These are the unsent love letters—the thoughts that lay peacefully in the landscape of my mind until the sun is tucked in below the horizon. It’s as if these words bind me to your bones on my loneliest of days. It’s the only rope that can secure my heart to my chest.
I can almost feel your lips kiss my eyes to stop the tears.
As cliché as it sounds, you’re the light that guides me in my darkest hour. You’re the only one who can see the true feelings behind my skin-deep smile. I never tell anyone my pain, because I never want to put my burden onto them. My smile might fool others, but my eyes can't fool you. I’m afraid my introverted nature could clash into chaos and cause a downward spiral towards self-destruction. But your hug is always there to keep me from shattering into pieces.
With you, every kiss feels like the first and every memory of you is such sweet repose.
I used to wear my heart hidden in my sleeve, but now, it’s perfection in your hands.

Life In Pink
I’m well aware that Pink and men don’t exactly go hand in hand. And yet I’m quite hopeful of convincing my husband about the absolute joy of waking up in a pink walled bedroom… someday!
Perhaps these pictures can help me illustrate my case better.

This lovely home belongs to Camilla and Benjamin Trigano. I love how soothing, romantic and unpretentious it is. All the bedrooms in the house are painted in a calming shade of pink. The couple claims that these bare pink walls helps them de-clutter their minds and unwind.
I think little touches of Pink here and there is a nice way to give your bedroom a facelift. How do you feel about sharing a pink living space with your man?

Ruche’s Autumn Belle
“There is something in October sets the gypsy blood astir,
We must rise and follow her;
When from every hill of flame,
She calls and calls each vagabond by name.”
~ William Bliss Carman
Ruche’s new Lookbook is Autumn personified! The outfits, the feisty model and her wild red hair - perfectly capture the warmth, the colours and the sense of wilderness that Fall brings along.
I love everything about these outfits. They seem so easy going and wearable. I’m especially drawn to this oh-so-girly tiered skirt and these vintage like ruffled pumps.
Tons of affordable fall style inspiration to be found in Ruche’s Fall 2010 Lookbook.
Do you spot anything you like?

Ain’t Got No…
These pictures looked like they had a story to tell, so I got in touch with Nina, the lady responsible for styling this shoot to find out more…
Model: Petra
Photos: Tijana Mihailovich
Styling: Nina Blace
Photo editing: Vice Rossini
Song: Ain't got no..I got by Nina Simone
This is how the story unfolds… (as told by Nina)
When my friend Tijana (photographer) suggested me that ruined house for the set of shooting I immediately fell in love with the house and romantic charm of it.
Idea was to create a story about girl that has lost home and has to find herself a shelter. The girl is used to having many lovely things so when she sees the house she ends up depressed and with no power to do anything because everything is ruined. As she makes her bed, she realizes that if she lost everything in her life, meaning home or even friends or family she still has herself. Because you carry yourself wherever you go. Styling of the girl in the house has glamorous but vintage vibe because she is used to a better life. In styling I used pale pink items to exude a feel of fragility mixed with few tough looking garments that give a feeling of feisty. Because now all she has to do is to survive.
This shoot challenged me to think about how it would be if I don’t have anything. It is paradox about how we are so attached to all our material possessions, and how we usually want more without being thankful for what we already have. We all know that losing a house as result of recession and slow crush of this world order led by money, is really something that is happening nowadays more often. And usually people will lose home but will be left with so many things because the system when was functioning for them was making them buy buy and buy. And in many countries today, if something happens, for example you get sick or you are no longer in use to serve the system, you will end up on the street. That’s really a truth that surrounds us.
How incredible. Love it heaps! And you?
